The popular singer and songwriter’s expertise in the country music genre led him up the popularity charts in America as well as all over the world. The RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) states that Brooks is among the best-selling solo albums artists the nation has ever seen and facts suggest that he has even surpassed the iconic Elvis Presley by selling almost 148 million domestic units. He chanced upon Sandy Mahl during their college days, and the duo got married in 1986. However, they appointed a divorce attorney in 2001 and Sandy walked away with $125 million.

Elon Musk and Justine Musk - Settlement: Undisclosed

The billionaire Tesla boss walked down the aisle with Justine Musk in January 2000, and the college sweethearts remained married for eight years after their courtship in college.

The couple shared five sons together. Elon shares joint custody of their children and he even foots the bill for their nannies' salaries. He sends Justine $20,000 per month post-tax for her regular requirements such as clothing, shoes, and other discretionary items. Justine also got to keep their Bel-Air home.

Justine was also paid an unspecified alimony amount. It was called one of the most expensive divorces of all time and why not, as Elon still has to pay $170,000 monthly in legal fees. Well, thanks to his divorce attorney, Musk was finally able to settle the matter and the duo was able to move on with their lives.

Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett: Settlement - Undisclosed

Kendra Wilkinson has been popular not only for being the girlfriend of late Hugh Hefner’s girlfriend but also for her appearance in The Girls Next door, the television series on E! She was in a romantic partnership with Hefner from 2004 to 2008. She has always been in the news.

However, she hit the headlines this time owing to her divorce from Hank Baskett. Hank is a retired American football star who plied his trade for the Indianapolis Colts, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League.

They have come to an agreement and have split joint physical and legal custody of their two kids. Whatever happened between the two was really unfortunate, since a divorce is always emotionally troubling.

Ted Danson & Casey Coates – Settlement: Reported $30 million

Who can forget Sam Malone in Cheers, a sitcom on NBC? Edward Bridge Danson III a.k.a. Ted Danson was the man who made the character popular and throughout his career, Danson has earned nominations for more than 15 Primetime Emmy Awards, out of which he won two, and 10 Golden Globe Awards, out of which he grabbed three. Before he attained star status, Ted came across Casey Coates, and the duo spent almost 16 years of married life before hiring a divorce attorney in 1992. As far as the settlement money is concerned, Casey received $30 million.

Harrison Ford & Melissa Mathison - Settlement: Reported $85 Million - $118 Million

The Hollywood icon grabbed the limelight when he portrayed the title role in the Indiana Jones movie franchise. Ford came across Melissa Mathison on the set of the film, Apocalypse Now, in 1979. However, as soon as the news about Harrison going around with a younger woman came to the surface, Mathison decided to hire a divorce lawyer, and the duo eventually went separate ways in 2003. As far as we have heard, efforts to resolve all the difference went in vain. F.R.I.E.N.D.S star David Schwimmer did have quite a satisfying career in Hollywood, but it seems like his personal life is not that satisfying at the moment. His six-year-marriage to British photographer Zoe Buckman is on the rocks right now. Last we heard, they have decided to stay apart for a while so that they can determine what they want from life. Of course, they will raise their only five-year-old daughter together, and hopefully, they wouldn't need a child custody lawyer at all. They say third time's the charm, but it's already Jane Fonda's fourth relationship, and she still seems to have no luck finding the right partner. With looks like hers though, does she need one? Sadly, Hollywood star Jane Fonda and music mogul Richard Perry, finally ended their relationship of eight years, with their divorce settlement amounting around $13-$20 million. They parted amicably and have been good friends to each other. Though Jane is already in her seventies, she is still highly impressive and active. However, our body can play tricks on us, hence we hope both the septuagenarians have good health insurances. Thankfully, they were not married and neither did have children, hence, they had avoided all the complex processes that come with divorce and child custody.

Chris Pratt & Anna Faris - Settlement: $0

Despite having a lot of love and respect for each other and an adorable five-year-old son, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris decided to call it quits in August 2017. While getting divorced, however, they have managed to maintain a certain kind of friendship and are still doing a great job with co-parenting their son, Jack. The couple had some trust issues between them, as reports reveal, and thankfully, issues concerning their kids were settled quite amicably. As far as we know, the settlement amount was something around $80 million.

Steven Spielberg & Amy Irving – Settlement: Reported $100 Million

Despite the Hollywood director’s attorney’s best efforts, a California judge refused to acknowledge Spielberg and Irving’s prenuptial agreement which was scribbled on a paper napkin in 1985, the year the couple got hitched. Consequently, the court ordered the Hollywood filmmaker to pay a settlement amount of around $100 million to Amy after the couple decided to file a divorce just four years into their marriage. The issues between the duo were left unresolved and they parted ways in 1989. Irving, later on, blamed Steven of treating her in a way that was totally unacceptable to her which was why they decided to separate in the first place. Really sad!

Neil Diamond & Marcia Murphey – Settlement: Reported $150 Million

Popular singer Neil Diamond took wedding vows with production assistant Marcia Murphey in 1969 and welcomed their two sons, Micah and Jesse, into their family. However, their marital bliss lasted for 25 years as the duo decided to file for a divorce in 1995. According to Forbes, Diamond was instructed to divide his $300 million-worth estate into two and give up one half to Murphy. Neil blamed himself for the separation and he ensured that Marcia received enough to live her life comfortably. Professionally, he had achieved immense success in his musical career and has notched up a $150 million net worth in his bank account.

Michael Jordan & Juanita Vanoy - Settlement: Reported $168 Million

NBA legend Michael Jordan walked down the aisle with Juanita Vanoy in 1989 at a small ceremony in Las Vegas. As per reports, Vanoy filed for a divorce in 2002, but the duo tried to sort things out amicably and stuck to each other till 2016 when they finally decided to split up for good. Their divorce was nothing short of a shock to their friends and we, too, didn’t expect the couple to bust up. Vanoy had received $168 million in settlement money. Since the separation, Michael has continued to be an iconic figure and has always maintained a stunning credit score, whereas Juanita, the ex-model has also built up an impressive net worth.  

Robert Johnson & Sheila Crump - Settlement: Reported $400 Million

Throughout 33 years of staying together, Sheila Crump and Robert Johnson garnered a hefty fortune, especially after they launched BET. However, the couple raked in around $3 billion in their banks by selling BET to Viacom. Crump, later on, accused Johnson of having a three-year extramarital affair and filed for a divorce. After a while, Sheila took wedding vows with Judge William T. Newman who is said to have presided over Crump's previous divorce proceedings. As far as our knowledge goes, Johnson had to pay a settlement amount of $400 million to Crump and perhaps shelling out that much money made him decide never to remarry again.

Mel Gibson & Robyn Moore – Settlement: Reported $425 Million

Irreconcilable differences between Gibson and Moore led to their separation and eventually, their divorce in 2009. As per reports, Hollywood filmmaker and actor Gibson was spotted with Oksana Grigorieva, a popular singer and songwriter, a month before the divorce. The Hollywood actor was said to even have a child with Grigorieva. According to the prenuptial agreement between Mel and Robyn, the former had to shell out half of everything he had earned, and as per several reports, the settlement amount was calculated at approximately $425 million. Thankfully, his immense net worth prevented him from facing bankruptcy.

Kendra Wilkinson & Hank Baskett - Settlement: Even split of assets

There were quite a lot of speculations about the marriage and chances of its longevity between Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett, a former NFL player. After those unconfirmed reports, Kendra took to social media (Instagram) on April 7, stating that things have finally ended between them. The couple, who have been married since 2009, have two kids — Hank Baskett IV and Alijah Mary Baskett. Nothing is confirmed yet regarding child custody, but we hope they find the right child custody attorney to handle this messy affair.

Channing Tatum & Jenna Dewan Tatum - Settlement: Reported $6 Million + Joint Custody

Jenna Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum showed the world how they had ‘lovingly chosen to separate’ since things remained pretty much the same about the love they shared. On April 2, a post on Instagram stated the end of their marriage (not the divorce attorneys though!). The duo had initially met on the sets of Step Up in 2006, and three years later, tied the nuptial knot. Page Six later reported that Tatum and Jenna's work schedules were the reason their marriage didn't work. With a reported settlement of $6 million and joint custody over their daughter Everly, Channing and Jenna's divorce was as smooth as it could be.

Staying in a relationship for 10 years and two years of marriage could do little in preventing Grace Miguel and Usher Raymond to stay with each other. Going by Us Weekly, the duo gave serious thought and consideration to separate, and it was a mutual decision. They had tied the knot in 2015, but before that, they began dating in 2009 after Usher got separated from Tameka Foster. Internet sleuths have suggested that three people filed lawsuits against Usher for giving them herpes, an STD, and that is the main reason why they couldn't stick together as a couple (marriage counseling might have helped!). No report has yet come to the open about them hiring divorce lawyers.

Eve Mavrakis & Ewan McGregor - Settlement: Unknown

Ewan McGregor, who is ranked 36^th among the top movie actors of all time by Empire magazine, split up with his French-Greek-Jewish wife Eva Mavrakis, after twenty-two years of staying together. McGregor was spotted behaving romantically with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, his Fargo co-star, and things turned bitter following that, with the couple making a few trips to the offices of their respective divorce attorneys. People magazine later reported that the couple split up in May 2017. Sometimes, marriage counseling does not work, especially if one or both of the partners are unfaithful.

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber ended their 11-year-old marriage last year. Obviously, Schreiber is still trying to get used to this new phase in his life. Jack Osbourne & Lisa Stelly - Settlement: Unknown but included a large cash pay-out

After six years together, Lisa filed for divorce from Jack Osbourne citing irreconcilable differences. Their date of separation is May 4, 2018. The couple got married in Hawaii in 2012 and have 3 little girls together: Minnie Theodora, born in February 2018, Pearl, 6, and Andy, 3. Lisa reportedly asked joint and physical custody of their kids and also filed for spousal support.

Mick Jagger & Jerry Hall – Settlement: Reported $25 million

Sir Michael Philip Jagger, popular as Mick Jagger in the music circuit, reached the zenith of success as the frontman and founder of the legendary rock band, The Rolling Stones. With a career encompassing almost fifty years, Mick has notched up an excellent credit score, aside from keeping his banks full. After separating from his first wife, Bianca de Macias, Jagger took wedding vows with his second wife, Jerry Hall in 1990. However, the marriage was annulled just nine years later. The settlement amount was estimated to be around $25 million.

 Billy Bush and Sydney Davis - Settlement: Reported $2 - 3 Million

Today show co-host Billy Bush and Sydney Davis were married for 20 long years. After two decades of marriage and three beautiful children, the couple had decided to break up and spend some time alone to see how things went — their divorce attorneys confirmed the news. It must have been hard for their children, Josie, Mary, and Lillie, who are 19, 16, and 12, respectively. One source claimed that the couple fought over the scandal that cost Billy his job, too. Apparently, a 2005 interview with Donald Trump surfaced where Trump was heard saying highly degrading things about women.  In just about three months time, another piece of juicy gossip surfaced, stating that the couple was trying hard to fix their marriage. Whether the couples counseling worked for them or not, or if it was some other reason, we do not know, but we hear the couple is staying together again and trying to fix it. Well, that is good news!

Miranda Lambert & Blake Shelton – Settlement: Reported Undisclosed

The country music songwriter and singer has proven her mettle and has carved a niche for herself in the music industry. She has received the Country Music Association Awards, the Grammy, and the Academy of Country Music Awards throughout her career. After going around with another popular singer, Blake Shelton for four years, the duo decided to get engaged in 2010 and eventually tied the knot in 2011. We all thought things would be better for the two, but four years into their marriage, Lambert and her now ex-husband hired a divorce lawyer, but their settlement has never been revealed to the public.

Rachel Bilson & Hayden Christensen - Settlement: Unknown

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen met at the sets of Jumper in 2007. After 10 years of being together, the couple decided to split in 2017. Sources say that they had tons of issues, and none of them were ever getting resolved — they were two very different people with different interests. Even before this, they had called off their engagement once in 2010; however, they reconciled again later. They also welcomed their daughter, Briar Rose Christensen, in 2014. Just when things were looking up, apparently the couple announced their break up, yet they do have a cordial relationship even after the split. Justin Theroux, who appeared in HBO drama series The Leftovers and acted in many other TV shows and movies throughout his career, started dating actress Jennifer Aniston in 2011, and they even worked together in the 2012 comedy film Wanderlust before walking down the aisle in 2015. However, only three years later, Aniston had to take recourse to her family law attorney as she and Justin had already decided to split as a couple, but they are still good friends. Aniston’s publicist later said that the couple took the decision based on mutual understanding, even having an even split of $110 million for their divorce settlement. While the settlement amount for the divorce of two of the biggest stars in Hollywood is unknown, we do know that Pitt gave Jolie $8 million to assist her in purchasing a new home for herself and their children. One of the most popular couples once, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt became so huge that they were branded as Brangelina — they were the apple of the media's eyes. However, Hollywood seems to be the place where all good marriages almost always come to an end. After having three kids and adopting three more, their marriage came to an end. It was definitely hard for the kids, and we are sure they were hoping their parents would reconcile after sessions of marriage counseling, but that didn't happen. Unfortunately, the couple is still fighting over child custody. It has been 20 months now, and we do wonder what the child custody lawyer has been doing! We hope she puts them to good use and spends a bit on her life insurance fund. Packer admitted that he did a mistake as he was going through a rough patch at that time when they started dating. He went through a huge financial crisis before and after the break-up. It actually makes us feel bad to think of all the money he had to pay just for break-up alone — imagine how much he would have paid if it had been a divorce!

Lionel Richie & Diane Richie – Settlement: Reported $20 million

The popular singer and songwriter’s style of ballads with the funk/soul band Commodores earned him immense success as a balladeer in the 80s. Throughout his musical career, Richie has had the distinction of selling more than 90 million records across the globe. In spite of having been in a relationship with his now former wife, Brendan Harvey, he had started dating Diane Alexander. After terminating his marriage with Brendan, he tied the knot with Alexander in 1995. However, the marriage also ended in divorce in 2003 and as per the reports, Lionel had to shell out $20 million as a settlement amount.

Hulk Hogan & Linda Hogan – Settlement: Reported $30 million

A WWE icon, this retired professional wrestler happens to be one of the most recognized figures in wrestling history. He was honored with an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 by none other than Hollywood icon, Sylvester Stallone. He walked down the aisle with Linda Claridge in 1983, and the couple shares a daughter and a son. Everyone thought that the duo would stick to each other forever, but after 26 years of being married, Hogan and Linda decided to part ways and hired a divorce lawyer. The former Beatles man is known all over the world as a successful multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, and singer. The songwriting partnership he shared with another Beatles legend, John Lennon, remains iconic to this day. He notched up quite a hefty net worth in his bank account throughout his musical career, out of which Paul had to shell out $48.6 million as settlement amount to his second wife, Heather Mills when the couple filed for divorce in 2008. We heard that it was around one-fifth of the total amount that Heather demanded. Too bad that their marriage never worked out!

James Cameron & Linda Cameron – Settlement: Reported $25 million

The Canadian filmmaker established himself in Hollywood with the 1984 film, Terminator. Banking on his directorial skills, he garnered critical acclamation with films such as Terminator 2: Judgment Day, True Lies, and Titanic. After his massive Oscar win in 1998, Cameron’s personal life went downhill and his marriage to Linda Cameron ended in a divorce a year later. The marriage lasted for less than two years and therefore, the settlement amount was decided to be something around $25 million. We wish the duo would have stayed forever and really feel sad for them.

Kenny Rogers & Marianne Rogers – Settlement: Reported $60 million

The Country Music Hall of Fame member attained sky-high success as a songwriter, singer, entrepreneur, and record producer. Water & Bridges, his 2006 album, received amazing reviews and entered the fifth position in the sales charts of Billboard Country Albums. During his ‘Hee Haw’ days, Kenny crossed paths with Marianne, fell in love, and decided to walk down the aisle together. However, after sticking to each other for 16 years, the duo decided to opt for a divorce in 1993. Marianne received a settlement amount of $60 million, and that amount is enough to keep anyone going for the rest of their life.  

Arnold Schwarzenegger & Maria Shriver – Settlement: Reported $250 million

Be it the fitness or the entertainment industry, Arnold Schwarzenegger needs no introduction. His work in films such as The Terminator franchise, Total Recall, Commando, True Lies, and Predator received appreciation and acclamation from all quarters. Arnold and Maria, the former Ms. Universe, had a blissful married life and people thought that nothing on earth could separate the two. However, their marriage hit rock-bottom in 2011 when Shriver accused her husband of cheating on her. Kate and Len met back in 2003 when they were shooting Underworld. Their divorce was settled in 2017 after 12 years of marriage. Thankfully, there was no cheating or scandal involved here. It was merely because of their busy schedules which had forced them to grow apart — a common reason for break-ups in Hollywood. They had a great 12 years of being together, and it is indeed great to see that none of them had asked for spousal support. Breakups are undoubtedly heartbreaking, and when you and your spouse split after years of marriage, it definitely tears you apart. With an estimated net worth of $137 billion in his bank account, Bezos was able to settle the matter by paying off an estimated $68 billion. Though we don’t know whether any prenuptial agreement was signed or not, the reports revealed that Bezos had to split up his marital assets as well once the divorce was finalized. But we guess that hardly made any difference to one of the world’s richest men.

Madonna has always been hailed as the “Queen of Pop” since the 80s and rightfully so. She entered into a marital alliance with popular English entrepreneur and filmmaker, Guy Ritchie in 2000, but the marriage didn’t turn fruitful as the couple filed for divorce just eight years later. Both of them agreed that the spark which initially kept their relationship alive had gone out, and they had no choice but to part ways. As per Madonna’s publicist, the divorce settlement amount ranged from $76 million to $92 million.

Ben Stiller & Christine Taylor - Settlement: Reported $200 Million

Veteran Hollywood actor Ben Stiller and wife Christine Taylor announced that they were separating from each other after 17 years of marriage. It came as a shock to their fans as well as colleagues as most of them thought the couple would have a long-lasting marriage, but as it appears they did have their conflicts. Ben has been super busy doing movies. Though Christine is a fine actress, too, and had appeared alongside her husband in movies like Zoolander, Arrested Development, and Tropic Thunder in recent years, she was busy raising their children. While the real reasons are unknown, we can easily take a guess that their work life, along with Ben's recent admission that he had survived cancer, must have taken a toll on their relationship. Though their family has been broken, we hope the kids have good insurance policies from their parents. In fact, it's one of the more horrifying ones that we know of. There aren't any reports on how much the settlement was for, but we do know that the marriage ended due to Todd's harsh behavior towards his ex-wife, who claims that Todd subjected her to physical and mental abuse to the point where she was fearful of her own life. We're glad this relationship has ended and that she doesn't have to endure him any longer. Todd tried to sue Teresa for $1 million for child support after the divorce, but he lost the case.

Mike Tyson & Robin Givens - Settlement: Reported $10 Million

It's always good to see a couple that isn't together for the money. By rights, Robin could have asked for far more than the $10 million that she received, but she chose not to, thereby proving that she didn't marry Mike for the money, because if she had, the first thing on her mind would have been more money from the settlement.
